Our Story

Penn Life Sciences was founded in order to address severe and pervasive shortages for generic sterile drug products used by the American public.

High volume aseptic facilities have struggled with regulatory compliance, and that has resulted in reduced supply. Many of these facilities were constructed decades ago and designed to a different degree of cGMP and quality compliance. Remediating or upgrading these older sites has proven so costly that many large manufacturers have abandoned existing facilities due to their age, condition, and cost of production, leaving a significant gap in domestic sterile production.

As a result, the American public is now highly dependent on non-US manufacturing and the global supply chain for aseptic products.
